About

James BarnardI’m James. I’m a 27-year-old marathon runner, blogger, diet coke addict and multimedia designer who lives in Blackheath, London (the start of the London marathon). I started the blog in an effort to keep friends and family entertained and donating to my then marathon charity, the MS Society. I raised over £2400 for the cause with the help of readers and the people at Justgiving, who voted my cheeky, very amateur video the winner of their 2009 video competition.

I ran the London marathon again in 2010 for the Lymphoma Association, raising over £2400 with the Sponsor a block campaign, in 2011 as an 11-minute-mile Runner’s World pacer and again in 2012 for the Newcastle United foundation, where I achieved a PB of 3:43:43.
